So What (Miles)... a new painting

This is a brand new piece that I made while listening to great jazz on WRUV (UVM's college station). Inspired by Miles' "So What", which is one of my favorite classic jazz tunes.

There's a lot of cool stuff going on in this little painting (its 12"x12"), including little figures in the sky, and "So What" written backwards. I love when other people look at my work and find things too. The person who bought the painting sees music staffs in the sky, which is obvious now, but weren't a part of the plan. But I never have a plan, so I guess that's what I'm aiming for! When I just flow with the paint and let it work me, some cool subconscious unstructured uninvited unintentional beautiful funky things appear.

I really like this little piece a lot, and am looking forward to just PLAYING with art over the next few weeks and months.... I'm going to reeeeeeeelax and go back to that mindstate of just letting whatever it is (the bit IT) come on out.
